A luxury ocean cruise line is hiring a Stage Manager to lead its onboard technical entertainment team — managing sound, lighting and video for every show and event, and keeping all entertainment venues running to a high standard.
You’ll bring
- Proven experience as a Stage Manager, Production Manager or Entertainment Technical Manager; shipboard experience is preferred
- Knowledge of all aspects of sound, lighting and stage equipment
- Basic knowledge of QLab, Dante, DSP, Watchout and network protocols
- A Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre is preferred; audio electronics training is also considered
- Experience leading multicultural teams, with proactive problem-solving skills
- Fluent English with excellent spoken and written communication
- Open to Malaysian and Singaporean applicants only (client requirement)
What you’ll do
- Supervise the Sound, Lighting and General Technicians
- Set up and operate sound, lighting and video equipment for shows and events
- Schedule the technical team and coordinate rehearsals with the Cruise Director and Broadcast team
- Maintain, clean and troubleshoot technical equipment across all entertainment venues
- Keep event logs and report technical issues for each voyage
