Prepare, cook and present a wide variety of Chinese dishes at your designated wok or cutter station, delivering consistent taste, presentation and portion control to StarDream Cruises standards.
Key responsibilities
- Cook and present Chinese dishes at the wok or cutter station with strong technique and knife skills
- Follow standard recipes for consistency, and adapt to special requests and dietary needs
- Attend daily galley briefings on events, menus and new dishes
- Follow the StarDream Cruises sanitation, hygiene and food-handling standards
- Keep station equipment in good working order and report any issues
You’ll bring
- Minimum high-school education
- At least 1 year’s experience in an established restaurant or international hotel, in a similar Chinese-kitchen role
- Proficiency with wok or cutter station techniques and specialised equipment
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, ingredients and methods
- A positive attitude and stamina for long galley hours
