Washer Specialist

Qualifications

Minimum any Secondary School Certificate of Education or equivalent certificate in any field.
Have three years of experience as Washer Specialist or similar position at 4-5-star hotel, within a laundry environment, and a minimum two years plus experience in a shipboard washing department.
Specialized expertise in stain removal & various types of fabrics.
Good ability to operate washers and dryers
Fluent in English, addtional languages is an advantage

Responsibility

Prepare, schedule & prioritize wash cycles accordingly, to meet specified timelines for service areas and Guests.
Load and unload all washers and dryers, according to Viking’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Manage the washing process ensuring that loads are weighted properly and a clean & safe
Monitor the chemical inventory daily and report findings to the Laundry Master.
Correctly handle cleaning products, materials and laundry equipment.
Undertake daily inspections of the assigned area and report any maintenance needs for washing
