Assistant Pastry

Qualifications

  • Minimum any Professional Certificates in Culinary Art or related field or,
  • Good in Pastry skills
  • Minimum two years of experience as an Assistant Pastry or similar position in 4-5-star hotel and premium restaurant (upscale restaurant).
  • Fluent in English, addtional languages is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Previous cruises industry experience is preferred.

Responsibility

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in producing pastries on time and to company standards.
  • Prepare basic pastry items, demonstrate knowledge of culinary techniques, and understand recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Produce high-quality pastries that meet standards in taste, presentation, and appearance.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to the Chef de Partie.
  • Adhere to public health regulations and ensure the pastry area is ready for inspections.
