Hotel General Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Hospitality or Graduate of a recognized hotel or business school.
  • Minimum five years of experience as Hotel General Manager in 4-5-star hotel or Cruise Ships.
  • Strong written & verbal skills in English.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer-based programs
  • Plan and oversee all Entertainment/Shop’s/Concessionaire’s/Food and Beverage (F&B) events with
  • respective Department Heads.
  • Plan, and manage cruise layouts together with respective Department Heads and ensure that
  • execution is accurate and efficient, in line with Viking’s Star Service Standards.
  • Oversee the management and control of sales of shore excursions, future cruises and tour dispatches.
  • Ensure the absolute cleanliness and order of the vessel, in accordance with all Public Health Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure cost control and adhere to set budgets by overseeing the entire ship’s on-board finances. This includes but not limited to inventories, forecasts, purchase orders and the ship’s accounts.
  • Oversee and manage the vessel clearance and dis/embarkation, the vacation planning and internal promotions for the entire Hotel Department, together with Departments Heads and the HR Manager.
