Assistant Chef de Partie

Qualifications

  • Minimum any Professional Certificates in Culinary Art or related field
  • Minimum two years of experience as an Assistant Chef De Partie or similar position
  • Have four years of experience in 4-5-star hotel and premium restaurant (upscale restaurant); basic culinary & knife handling skills are required.
  • Good understanding of food handling procedures and specifications.
  • Fluent in English, addtional languages is an advantage.
  • Previous cruises industry experience is preferred.

Responsibility

  • Maintain positive relationships with Sailors and communicate effectively within the team.
  • Prepare basic menu items, identify and correct flavor discrepancies, and ensure food quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, monitor food production, and address equipment faults.
  • Adhere to HACCP and USPH regulations, ensuring team members are trained and compliant.
  • Address Sailor complaints and ensure their needs are met, including special requests and dietary requirements.
  • Be knowledgeable about cruise services and work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
