Assistant Butcher

Qualifications

  • Minimum any Professional Certificates in Culinary Art or related field or,
  • Minimum three years of experience as an Assistant Butcher or similar position in 4-5-star hotel and premium restaurant (upscale restaurant); basic culinary & knife handling skills are required.
  • Fluent in English, addtional languages is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs
  • Previous cruises industry experience is preferred.

Responsibility

  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked storage area, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Possess basic butcher knowledge, skills, and advanced knife-handling techniques.
  • Demonstrate proper handling, defrosting, preparation, and portioning of meat cuts.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and productively, adhering to portion control standards.
  • Ensure adherence to US Public Health regulations and HACCP procedures.
  • Report for duty on time, follow supervisor's instructions, and maintain a professional appearance.
