Maintain and troubleshoot shipboard electronic systems supporting navigation, communications, monitoring and hotel or operational functions.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on electronic and low-voltage systems
- Troubleshoot faults in communication, navigation, monitoring, alarm and control equipment within assigned scope
- Maintain electronic components, cabling, interfaces and associated technical documentation
- Support testing, installation and commissioning of replacement equipment
- Coordinate with Electrical, Technical and Deck teams where systems interface
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare-parts requirements
You’ll bring
- Previous Electronic Officer or equivalent shipboard electronics experience
- Cruise or passenger vessel experience preferred
- Strong fault-finding skills in electronic and low-voltage systems
- A relevant electrical or electronic qualification and the STCW certification required by the vessel and flag
- Good technical English
