Supervise engine ratings and coordinate practical maintenance, repair and housekeeping work in machinery spaces under the Engineering Officers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead engine ratings during routine and corrective maintenance
- Allocate daily work and ensure safe execution of jobs
- Support maintenance of pumps, valves, piping, machinery and engine-room equipment
- Assist with dismantling, overhaul, cleaning and reassembly of machinery
- Monitor workshop standards, tools, consumables and housekeeping
- Support bunkering, emergency duties and dry-dock or refit activities as assigned
You’ll bring
- Previous Engine Foreman or senior engine-rating experience
- Strong mechanical maintenance and engine-room practical skills
- Cruise or passenger vessel experience preferred
- The ability to supervise a multinational rating team
- STCW certification appropriate to duties, medical fitness and good English
