Maintain, repair and install mechanical fittings, fabricated items and stainless-steel components in galleys, pantries and food-service areas.
Key responsibilities
- Repair galley doors, hinges, frames, benches, racks and mechanical fittings
- Carry out fitting, cutting, grinding and fabrication work as required
- Assist with removal, positioning and installation of galley equipment
- Repair or modify stainless-steel components and supports
- Complete planned maintenance and defect repairs in food preparation areas
- Support refurbishment and dry-dock works while maintaining hygiene and safety standards
You’ll bring
- Previous Galley Fitter, marine fitter or similar trade experience
- Cruise or passenger vessel experience preferred
- Strong mechanical fitting and stainless-steel fabrication skills
- Welding or brazing competence is advantageous where required
- STCW certification, medical fitness and good English
