Prepare, restore and maintain varnished and decorative timber finishes throughout the vessel.
Key responsibilities
- Strip, sand, clean and prepare timber surfaces
- Apply stains, sealers, varnishes and protective coatings
- Repair damaged or deteriorated wood finishes
- Match existing colours, stains and finish standards
- Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain safe chemical-handling practices
- Support carpentry and refurbishment projects where required
You’ll bring
- Professional varnishing, finishing or woodworking experience
- Cruise ship, yacht or passenger vessel experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of timber preparation and varnish application
- High attention to finish quality and detail
- STCW certification, medical fitness and good English
