Support the Executive Housekeeper in running the ship’s housekeeping department, keeping guest staterooms, public areas and corridors to Viking’s premium standard while leading and developing the team.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Executive Housekeeper across daily housekeeping operations
- Manage supply par levels, lockers and weekly requisitions so the team is always stocked
- Inspect staterooms, public areas, corridors and lockers, correcting and reporting any issues
- Track special cleaning schedules (curtains, carpet shampoo, shower-head sanitation and more)
- Lead a multicultural team, running the daily reunion and handling reviews, training and MLC compliance
- Uphold cleanliness, hygiene, public-health and outbreak-prevention standards
You’ll bring
- Minimum 2 years as an Assistant Chief Housekeeper or similar in a 5-star environment, with experience running housekeeping on large ships (500+ staterooms); or, without cruise experience, at least 5 years in senior housekeeping management (Assistant Executive Housekeeper or above) at a large 4/5-star hotel
- Proven leadership of large multicultural teams, with a keen eye for detail
- Fluent English, and comfortable with PC databases, spreadsheets and reporting
- A Business Administration or Hotel Management qualification is an advantage
- Guest-focused, meticulous and immaculately presented
