Deliver flawless audio for Viking’s shows, cabarets, lectures and events, setting up, mixing and maintaining the ship’s sound systems to a professional standard.
Key responsibilities
- Set up shows, cabarets, lectures, presentations and events, including backline and instrument microphones
- Program the sound console during technical rehearsals and check all speakers and equipment before each show
- Mix live sound and wirelessly mic performers, maintaining design integrity through every show run
- Troubleshoot audio issues and carry out component-level maintenance on the ship’s equipment
- Communicate closely with the Cruise Director and attend all show set-ups, calls and meetings
- Keep sound areas clean and safe to public-health and safety standards
You’ll bring
- Proven audio-electronics experience in sound playback and live mixing, with wiring skills; shipboard experience an advantage
- Operational knowledge of Yamaha CL Series / LS-9 consoles and Shure UHFR / ULXD wireless microphone systems
- Strong knowledge of QLab, Dante, DSP networking and patch-bay configuration
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and scaffolding and work at height on catwalks
- Fluent English, self-directed and a reliable team player
