Run the video and projection for Viking’s shows and venues, and film and edit onboard content such as Viking Today, Port Talks and Enrichment Lectures.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate video, projection and large-format LED displays for shows, checking all equipment before each show
- Program the show-control computer during technical rehearsals and switch video sources through show runs
- Film and edit onboard content: Viking Today, Port Talks, Enrichment Lectures and the Viking Daily
- Cross-train with the Broadcast Manager and be ready to cover the role when needed
- Terminate A/V and data connectors, maintain equipment and keep monthly inventories
- Communicate with the Stage Manager and attend all show set-ups, calls and meetings
You’ll bring
- Strong video experience, specifically front / rear projection and large-format LED, with show-control programming; a TV-studio, video-production or theatre background preferred; shipboard experience an advantage
- A degree in Broadcast, Media, Television or Film Production (relevant playback / projection training also considered)
- Able to operate broadcast cameras (e.g. Sony PXW-Z150) and edit in Final Cut Pro X; comfortable with projectors, servers, switches, IP networking and Watchout
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and scaffolding and work at height on catwalks
- Fluent English, creative, self-directed and a reliable team player
