Support the senior electrical team in maintaining the vessel’s electrical power, machinery and distribution systems.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on generators, motors, switchboards, drives and electrical distribution equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore equipment safely
- Support maintenance of machinery control, automation and power-management interfaces within assigned scope
- Carry out electrical testing, insulation checks and safe isolation procedures
- Supervise ratings or contractors when assigned
- Maintain technical records, spare-parts requirements and defect reports
You’ll bring
- Previous shipboard Electrical Engineer or ETO-level experience appropriate to the role
- Cruise or passenger vessel experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of marine power distribution, motors, drives and electrical safety
- The relevant CoC or qualification and STCW certification required by the vessel and flag
- Good technical English
