Control Engine and Technical Department spare parts, equipment and consumables, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, issue and inventory records.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and inspect machinery spares, electrical parts, tools, technical equipment and consumables
- Maintain accurate stock records, part numbers, bin locations and inventory levels
- Issue spares and consumables to authorised Engineering and Technical personnel
- Organise stores for main and auxiliary machinery, pumps, valves, electrical equipment and general engine-room requirements
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report shortages, damage or discrepancies
- Conduct stock counts and support requisitions, replenishment and dry-dock preparation
- Maintain compliant storage of hazardous or controlled materials
- Use the vessel’s PMS or inventory system, such as AMOS or equivalent, as required
You’ll bring
- Previous Technical Storekeeper or Engine Storekeeper experience
- Cruise, passenger or large commercial vessel experience preferred
- Good knowledge of marine engineering spares and technical equipment
- Strong inventory-control, computer and administration skills
- Experience with AMOS or a similar system is advantageous
- STCW certification, medical fitness and good English
