A cruise ship operator is hiring an Assistant Electrician for its hotel-side electrical team — supporting the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in guest cabins, public areas and service areas onboard. The role offers a salary of $2,000 per month on a 4-month contract.
You’ll bring
- Electrical trade experience or relevant technical training
- Cruise, passenger vessel or facilities electrical experience is preferred
- Basic electrical fault-finding skills
- Able to work safely under supervision in guest and hotel areas
- A valid STCW certificate and medical fitness for work at sea
- Good English communication skills
What you’ll do
- Assist with repairs to lighting, sockets, switches and hotel electrical fixtures
- Support troubleshooting and component replacement under supervision
- Assist with cable installation, testing and refurbishment works
- Respond to assigned defects in guest cabins and public areas
- Maintain tools, parts and safe work areas
- Follow electrical isolation and permit-to-work procedures at all times
