Assistant System Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily IT operations according to established run books, procedures, and technical guidelines.
- Support crew workstations, including PCs, printers, point-of-sale terminals, servers, cabling systems, and related hardware.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic PC, printer, software, WiFi, and connectivity issues.
- Provide technical support for guest-facing equipment, including telephones, TVs, digital signage, WiFi access, and the Viking Voyager App.
- Respond promptly to user requests and provide basic training on common PC software and property management systems.
- Assist the Systems Manager with assigned IT tasks, operational support, and issue resolution.
- Keep the leadership team informed of IT matters that may affect shipboard operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory of assigned IT equipment and complete stock checks twice a month.
- Follow all safety, security, public health, environmental, grooming, and uniform standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude while working under pressure in a shipboard environment.
Qualifications
- This role is open to Malaysian/Singaporean citizen only.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on IT systems experience.
- Degree or training in Computer Science, IT, hardware, or software.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of operating systems; MXP experience is an advantage.
