Jobs Kreate participated as an exhibitor at myStarjob Fair 2026, held on 23 and 24 May 2026 at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur. At Booth A30, our team met jobseekers, fresh graduates and experienced professionals exploring opportunities in hospitality, service, food and beverage, retail, hotel and international cruise careers.
Organised by Star Media Group, myStarjob Fair is an established career and talent platform that brings employers, recruiters and job-ready candidates together in one space. The two-day programme ran from 11.00am to 7.00pm with free admission, and featured job matching, on-the-spot interviews, career talks and resume and personal advancement sessions.

Conversations across the candidate journey
For Jobs Kreate, the fair was a chance to speak directly with Malaysian talent considering their next career move. Many visitors were curious about pathways into hotels and resorts, food and beverage outlets, and the international cruise industry. We answered questions about role expectations, interview preparation, documentation and what working in multicultural, international environments is actually like — including the realities our cruise ship guide for Malaysians covers in more depth.
Conversations at Booth A30 spanned the full candidate journey: candidates with prior service or hospitality experience asking how to convert that into wider career exposure; fresh graduates weighing land-based versus shipboard roles; and mid-career professionals exploring overseas opportunities. We shared practical guidance on each, and pointed candidates to the open roles we are actively recruiting for.

Recruitment as informed decision-making
Our participation reflects how we see recruitment at Jobs Kreate: not only filling vacancies, but helping candidates make informed decisions and supporting employers with prepared, motivated talent. International hospitality opportunities can be exciting, but candidates should approach them with realistic expectations — preparation, documentation and the right mindset matter as much as enthusiasm.
The fair also continues a year of industry engagement work for our team. Earlier in 2026 we formalised an MOU with Ambitious Academy to support talent development, and in December 2025 we hosted a Viking River open interview session for shortlisted candidates. Each touchpoint reinforces the same approach: structured guidance, honest expectations and meaningful access to international employers.
Thank you to everyone who connected with us
We extend our thanks to Star Media Group, the myStarjob Fair organising team, fellow exhibitors and event partners. Most of all, thank you to every candidate who stopped by Booth A30 — your questions, ambitions and stories made the two days genuinely worthwhile.
If you missed us at the fair, you can still browse our current vacancies or get in touch to explore opportunities in hospitality, service and cruise careers in Malaysia and abroad.
