Jobs Kreate Hosts a Public Career Sharing Session in Sabah at Phileo Gelato

On Saturday, 20 June 2026, Jobs Kreate hosted a public career sharing session in Sabah at Phileo Gelato, bringing practical career guidance directly to people who are exploring job opportunities, weighing their next move, or simply looking for clearer direction in the working world.

The session was led by Keith Foo, Founder & Managing Director of Jobs Kreate, with Nur Adibah supporting the event on the ground. It was designed to be more than a standard recruitment talk — creating space for honest conversation about career pathways, workplace expectations and what candidates can do to prepare themselves before applying for opportunities.

For many jobseekers, the challenge is not a lack of motivation — it is a lack of exposure. Some may not know which industries are hiring; some may not fully understand what employers look for; others have the right attitude but need clearer guidance on how to present themselves and take the next step with confidence.

Helping Talents Understand What Employers Really Look For

The session focused on what candidates should understand before entering the job market — especially in service-related industries, where attitude, communication, grooming, discipline and readiness can strongly influence hiring decisions. The conversation covered:

  • approaching career planning with a clearer sense of direction;
  • what employers look for beyond academic qualifications;
  • why attitude and communication matter in interviews and at work;
  • how to prepare properly before applying for jobs;
  • the value of being realistic, committed and open to learning.

A job opportunity can open the door, but long-term growth depends on how well a person prepares, adapts and performs once they are in the workplace. At Jobs Kreate, we believe candidates should not only be told where to apply — they should understand how to prepare and what to expect, so they can make better decisions for their future.

Bringing Career Conversations Beyond Kuala Lumpur

As a recruitment agency based in Kuala Lumpur, Jobs Kreate works with candidates and employers across hospitality, cruise, food and beverage, retail and maritime sectors. But talent is not limited to the Klang Valley.

There are many motivated individuals across Malaysia — including in Sabah — looking for better opportunities and more exposure to different career pathways: fresh graduates, first-time jobseekers, and working individuals considering a new direction. By hosting sessions outside Kuala Lumpur, we can engage local communities directly and better understand the questions and expectations of candidates in different regions.

This visit continues our outreach in Sabah: earlier in 2026 we held cruise career sharing sessions in Kota Kinabalu. Where that earlier trip focused on careers at sea, this session opened the conversation to career readiness more broadly.

A Relaxed, Public Setting at Phileo Gelato

Holding the session in a welcoming community space made it more approachable. Attendees could listen, ask questions and take part in a setting that felt open and accessible rather than formal or intimidating.

Jobs Kreate would like to thank Phileo Gelato for hosting the session and providing a comfortable venue, and everyone who attended and took part. Your questions and engagement made the session meaningful.

Career Awareness as Part of Responsible Recruitment

For Jobs Kreate, recruitment is not only about matching people to jobs. It is also about helping candidates understand the realities of work, prepare properly, and make informed decisions before accepting opportunities. When candidates understand what employers expect and how they can improve, they enter the workforce with the right mindset — which benefits both the candidate and the employer.

This session is part of a year of community-facing work for our team: the MOU with Ambitious Academy in January, the Viking River open interview session in December 2025, cruise career sharing in Sabah in April, the myStarjob Fair in May, our onboard visit to Genting Dream, and a cruise career talk at Ambitious Academy, Johor in June. We look forward to organising more sessions and meeting more talents across Malaysia.
