Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work on machinery and equipment throughout the Engine Department.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with overhaul and repair of pumps, valves, compressors and auxiliary machinery
- Carry out dismantling, cleaning, inspection and reassembly of mechanical components
- Perform fitting, alignment and general workshop duties
- Support maintenance of piping systems and machinery foundations where required
- Report defects and maintain tools and work areas
- Follow permit-to-work, isolation and engine-room safety procedures
You’ll bring
- Previous marine mechanic, motorman or engine-room maintenance experience
- Good mechanical fitting and machinery-repair skills
- Cruise or passenger vessel experience preferred
- The ability to work safely with engineering tools and equipment
- STCW certification, medical fitness and good English
