On 21 May 2026, the Jobs Kreate team was invited onboard Genting Dream during her call at Port Klang Cruise Terminal, marking a memorable and valuable cruise visit for our company.
As a licensed Malaysian recruitment agency that connects candidates with career opportunities in hospitality, service and the cruise industry, this visit gave our team the opportunity to experience the cruise environment more closely — not only as visitors, but as people who guide and prepare candidates for careers at sea.

Onboard Genting Dream: a flagship hospitality environment
Genting Dream is the flagship cruise ship under Dream Cruises, part of StarDream Cruises. Known for its large-scale hospitality, entertainment, dining and leisure experience, the ship represents the kind of international working environment that many cruise candidates aspire to join. With its impressive size, extensive facilities and strong focus on guest experience, Genting Dream offers a clear example of how diverse, fast-paced and service-driven the cruise industry can be.

During the visit, our team had the opportunity to tour different areas of the ship and gain a better understanding of the onboard experience. From guest-facing spaces to lifestyle facilities, Genting Dream reflects the high standards expected in modern cruising. The ship features a wide range of dining options, entertainment venues, recreational facilities, wellness spaces, family-friendly areas and premium experiences such as The Palace, its exclusive “ship-within-a-ship” concept.
What the visit means for the candidates we support
For Jobs Kreate, the visit was especially meaningful because it allowed our team to better visualise the environment that cruise candidates may eventually work in. A cruise ship is not just a place of travel and leisure — it is also a floating hospitality operation that relies on teamwork, discipline, professionalism, communication and service excellence.
Seeing the ship firsthand helped reinforce the importance of preparing candidates beyond basic job requirements. Candidates interested in cruise careers must understand the expectations of working in a multicultural environment, serving international guests, adapting to life onboard and maintaining professional standards throughout their contract. Experiences like this help our team provide more practical and realistic guidance to jobseekers who are considering a career at sea, and informs how we coach them through interview preparation and documentation readiness.

Strengthening Malaysia’s place in cruise tourism
The visit also came at an exciting time for cruise tourism in Malaysia. With Genting Dream operating sailings from Port Klang, Malaysian travellers and jobseekers are gaining closer exposure to the cruise industry. Port Klang Cruise Terminal continues to play an important role as one of Malaysia’s key cruise gateways, connecting the country to regional cruise routes and strengthening Malaysia’s presence in the wider cruise tourism landscape.

This onboard visit also continues a year of industry engagement work for our team. In December 2025 we hosted a Viking River open interview session for shortlisted candidates; in January 2026 we formalised an MOU with Ambitious Academy to support talent development; in April 2026 we ran cruise career sharing sessions in Sabah; and later in May we exhibited at the myStarjob Fair in Kuala Lumpur. Each touchpoint reinforces the same approach: meet candidates and partners where they are, learn the industry firsthand and translate that into honest, practical guidance.
Thank you for the warm hospitality
Jobs Kreate would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Eugenia for the warm hospitality, generous guidance and wonderful onboard tour. Her kindness, professionalism and willingness to share the experience made the visit even more meaningful for our team.
We would also like to thank everyone involved in welcoming Jobs Kreate onboard Genting Dream. This visit was more than a company outing — it was a valuable learning experience that strengthened our understanding of the cruise industry and the opportunities it can offer to Malaysian talent.
As Jobs Kreate continues to support candidates in hospitality, service and cruise-related careers, we remain committed to learning, building industry connections and helping jobseekers make informed decisions about their future. For candidates who dream of working at sea, Jobs Kreate is here to guide you through the journey — from understanding the opportunity to preparing for the expectations ahead.
