Assistant Chief Housekeeper
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, locker stock levels, and weekly requisitions.
- Ensure guest staterooms, public areas, corridors, and housekeeping areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards.
- Handle guest concerns and special requests professionally.
- Maintain cleaning logs and follow up on special cleaning schedules.
- Lead and support a multicultural housekeeping team.
- Conduct daily briefings and provide operational updates.
- Ensure compliance with public health, safety, hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
- Report damages, defects, and maintenance issues to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Support team training, performance management, and crew communication.
- Prepare for and participate in public health inspections.
- Maintain a flexible, professional, and service-focused attitude at all times.
Qualifications
- This role is open to Malaysian/Singaporean citizen only.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Chief Housekeeper or in a similar role.
- Degree in Business Administration or Hotel Management is preferred.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a 5-star hospitality environment and ship operations with 500+ staterooms.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a multicultural team.
- Strong attention to detail with high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Proficient in databases, spreadsheets, and word processing systems.
- Flexible, stress-resistant, committed, and a strong team player.
- Excellent knowledge of Public Health policies.
