Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and organise the assigned restaurant service station.
  • Supervise Assistant Waiters and Café Attendants when required.
  • Assist with room-service orders, reservations, seating, stocktakes, and inventory.
  • Present menus, recommend food and wine options, and answer guest enquiries professionally.
  • Support food and beverage activities, cocktail parties, tea time, special events, and embarkation duties.
  • Ensure mise en place, service areas, equipment, glassware, and flatware are clean, polished, and ready before service.
  • Maintain excellent guest service, cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
  • Follow all Public Health, safety, security, sanitation, and environmental policies.
  • Work flexibly under pressure while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.

Qualifications

  • This role is open to Malaysian/Singaporean citizen only.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Waiter or in a similar role.
  • Experience in a 5-star hospitality or restaurant environment.
  • Basic food and beverage knowledge is required.
  • Shipboard experience is an advantage.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, physically fit, and in good health.
  • Able to carry heavy items and stand, kneel, and bend for long periods.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Flexible, committed, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Guest-focused, service-oriented, and professionally presented.
  • Excellent knowledge of Public Health policies and hygiene standards.
